Welcome to the SGBARC website! We are an established organization that provides the services of two 2 metre repeaters, a 70cm repeater, VE testing / education, and public service assistance to the Penetanguishene / Midland community.
We've made changes to the website. For simplicity, the many pages have been condensed to one page. If you have bookmarked older pages on the website, you will still be able to access those pages for the time being. If you have questions or comments please direct them to the webmaster (link at bottom of this page).
Club Meetings
Our monthly meeting occurs on the 1st Saturday of the month at 8:30am. The next meeting will be July 04, 2009 at Mom's Restaurant in Midland (200 Pillsbury Drive). All radio amateurs (and non radio amateurs) are invited to attend! Talk-in is on the VE3SGB repeater 146.760 (- offset).
Current News
June 07, 2009 - Field Day for 2009 will be June 27-28 at the Wasaga Stars arena in Wasaga Beach. Station setup will begin at 12pm and the station will begin operating at 2pm. We plan to install several antennas, setup a AC generator, an HF stations, and some digital equipment. We invite anyone that wishes to come by to do so and have some fun with our group. Last year we made 1276 contacts on a single transmitter and we hope to better that number this year. To view a map of the Field Day site, please click the link below.
